Sep 11, 2008 Pours very dark almost black with red edges and a small creamy offwhite head. Aroma is quite nice very balanced with prunes, raisins, caramel and some viniousness. Flavour of dried fruit, caramel, but also some hops and again vinious.

Pours a wonderful dark red-brown in my St. Feuillien glass. A small, creamy, off-white to beige head. Disappears rather quickly. Quite powerful, nice aroma. Vinious, prunes, raisins, cocoa and light hops. High carbonation, a bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is initially fruity, good dose of raisins, some apple before finishing in a good deal of dry chocolate. Okay, but it is more of a dubbel than a BSA.

Aug 16, 2008 Courtesy of Yespr. The beers floods out of the bottle. The color is dark red-brown and the head is dense and creamy. The aroma has notes of hops, roasted malt and a little chocolate. The flavour has a hoppy bitterness, sweetness, notes of roasted malt, chocolate, citrus, spice and the balance is very nice. I like it a lot.

Jul 17, 2008 A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A nice sweet candy sugar aroma with orange peels, hops and warming alcohol. In mouth, a rather peaty sweet malt with curacao, licorice, light herbal hops, oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Tasted late Dec. 2006.
