3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap pours dark brown color with a thin head that does not last. Aroma is candi sugar and alcohol. Has a light and highly carbonated body. Flavor is dominated by alcohol. Has an almost grain alcohol boozey taste. There is some yeast and roasted malt in there somewhere on the back end. But overall this is a whiskey flavored bruiser and I enjoyed it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
25.4 oz bottle. Slow foamer after opening pours a clear mahogany with a pocked off-white head. Nose is yeasty prunes, orange peel and mild spice. Medium body with sharp spritzy carb. Tastes like a rye fruitcake with some weird spices. Notes of mace, candied cherries, spinach and earth though not really sweet. A strange one but not bad.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle, uncorked. Murky brown-amber color with a fading head. Delicate, minimal sweet aroma. Malty, light brown sugar or caramel and yeast notes. Certainly a smooth sipper. Has been in my closet for almost a year, might have lost just a touch of effervescence. Creamy, rich, brown cocoa flavored finish. This is a nice Belgian Christmas Ale, though not as spiced as a typical example.
