(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Yeasty and distinctively blue-berry fruity aroma with notes of toasted malt and herbal hops in the background. Roasty bitter flavour with shades of vinous fruitiness, medium to full bodied with a calm, almost creamy carbonation. Moderately roasted malty and slightly fruity taste with notes of liquorice and traces of caramel; almost dry, roasty and moderately hop bitter finish. Good. 03.II.10

cmillward (497) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 24, 2010
Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours a dark amber with some nice lacing. Nose is yeasty, some fruity esters, a dry grainy maltiness and a bit musty. In flavor some caramel, fruity, nice yeastiness, a touch of acidity. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation, finishes very dry with a tiny hint of alcohol as it fully warms up. Very nice.

Draft at Redlight. This is pretty kick ass! Pours a nice amber w/ a white head. Lots of caramel malts, spices, dark sweetness and a boatload of good ol Belgian funk, but not overpowering. A bit earthy.

redlight (2317) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 21, 2010
draft @ redlight redlight. Spicy caramel nose with candied dates and hints of a funkiness. Pours caramel amber with a sold white head. Spicy with huge caramel malt flavors with molasses and figs, with spicy dry funk. Man this is great! it tastes like an amber version of Orval, their yeast really comes through. Great beer!
