Very good beer and recommended by the bartender. Poured with a light tan, foamy, frothy head that lasted a while and good lacing. Color was a hazy, almost cloudy brown with red highlights. Aroma was perfumey, malt, roast, caramel, yeast, a little dark ripe fruit. Flavor was very similar to nose, plus some toffee and just enough tang. Body was good and carbonation fine. Finished with average length, smooth, and drinkable. Nice.

Draft at the Birch. Deep reddish orange. Nice poofy head. Spicy aroma, enticing indeed. Wow this is delicious. Orange zest, brown sugar, perfume ... And then a mellow, neutral finish. Excellent. (#4370, 11/26/2011)

14/08/2011 Birrifugio Trastevere (tap). Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Eleganza e bevibilità. Notevolissima a dispetto della gradazione alcolica bassa. Una signora birra!

Muddy brown with a healthy beige head. Aromas of caramel, apples, chocolate, tart cherries, great complexity. There’s a light touch of anise hidden in flavors of cherries and plums. Medium body with good carbonation. Classic Belgian Christmas ale. Roughly translates to "Cuvée Rulles Best Wishes."

75cl bottle - pours amber/brown with khaki head and decent lacing. Nose is earthy, dusty, caramel and festive - I’m transported to family warmth contrasted with economic modesty during the winter months. Flavor adds metal, brown sugar and a hint of nuttiness. quite sweet, but a tad spicy. warming. I would like this more if the palate was thicker.

Bottle from Total Wine. Massive off-white head over a red-tinted, light brown body. Puffy lacing. Aroma notes of bubblegum, biscuit, and caramel. Flavors of cola, more caramel, subtle coffee, subtle horse blanket. Soft carbonation and medium/full body. Super smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Delicious and highly drinkable. Very well done.

Deep brown color. Thin brown, while lace. Excellent texture. Strong roast smell, like double, slight chocolate nose. A bit weak, but good body, bold flavor, excellent finish.
