From the bottle at the brewery on a Podge Beer Tour. Clear amber, slightly gassy with a bubbly head. Dry, hoppy, boozy aroma. Dry, smooth, grainy. Not bad, but disappointing, I got the impression it needed more time to mature. The organiser of the trip compared it to special brew!

Spicy, fruity aroma with a little funk, kind of like a saison. Flavor starts a little sour and fruity, then finishes bready and very sweet, with caramel and toffee, and a lot of drying alcohol. A really nice big beer with lots of flavor.

750ml Bottled 2012 This Belgian showcases aged hops with mild bitterness and some subtle funkiness. Some spice, particularly coriander, is evident. This is an appealing beer with some complexity.

750ml bottle. Pours a golden orange with a large, white head. Aroma is a zesty lemon, lemon zest, citrus, peach, a lot of fruitiness. Some spiciness. Large amounts of stone fruit. Taste is citrusy, peachy with a lot of stone fruit. Some yeasty marzipan and spiciness. Quite fruity. Very drinkable. A bit of alcohol comes through at times, but not enough to bother you. Palate is quite stiff with quite a bit of carbonation which is good as it supports the fruitiness and zest.

Brussles bottle. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head and nice lacing. Pretty big aroma that actually reminds me of a big saison with a hint of hops. Very plesant flavor that trends towards the sweeter side but also a little spice and booze like a tripel. Pretty good.

(75cl bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors for ~$13. Overflowed with foam after removing the cap. Pours a large, frothy white head atop a clouded, sediment-filled amber body. Nose of vanilla, coriander and yeast. A nice alcohol burn, smooth, strong presence of citrus and earthy base. Very good.

Bottle shared by Ken at CBC tasting. It pours cloudy golden with a thick white head. The nose is earth, sherbet, pear, apple, melon, hay and icing sugar. The taste is hay, earth, icing sugar. sherbet, decent bitterness, toast, pear, melon, alcohol warmth, mustiness and dirt. Medium-full body, high carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Not a whole lot to it and perhaps a touch sweet. Still not bad.

Craft Clerkenwell Tasting. Light haze on this gold beer. Mahooosive off white head. Palate is light, fluffy and a little dry. Light bitterish yeast. Touch of caraway nutty pale malt. Mild dried fruits. Finishes bitter. Interesting and quite drinkable.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko, big thanks to Ken, 26/06/13. Hazed yellow blonde with a white covering, some floaties on show but they had pretty faces so I kept the score as a 4! Nose is grass, wheaten notes, lemon rind, grain, sugars, touch of booze, bitter orange. Taste comprises bitter orange, lemon rind, light yeast, bready malt, grass, warming booze. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, ever warming alcohol in the finish. Ok beer, not a lot of depth and the booze was on the harsh side. Glad to be sharing a small pour and not nursing a bottle between 2 !
