Sour, vanilla flavor, nice tripel. crazyvin (1246), New York, USA Jun 10, 2007 Draft-poured a cloudy ayellow hue wiht a thick white hea.d .Aroma wasaix of banana and corriandor. Flavor had a good balance between sweet fruit notes and spice notes. Alcohol waswarming in the finish. Carbonation was mild. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 9, 2007 750 ml bottle. Rich golden colur, creamy white head. Aroma is quite lovely, honey and apricot top notes over a light lean maltiness. A touch of earthydusty character behind the yeasty spiciness. Warming brings up a bit of clove and sweet melon, white grapes and a light berryish note as well. Flavour shows a prickle of white pepper and berries with a soft sweetness up front. Herbal/earthy notes in the middle and a dry finish. Quite hoppy on the back which accentuates the beers dryness. Tasty and elegant brew. Lightly bready on the back. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Jun 9, 2007 Pours dark golden with a mostly receding white head. Aroma of apples, banana, cloves, and honey. Taste is sweet and fruity, with a mix of fruity apple and pineapple esters mixed with apple phenolics. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly sticky with full carbonation. Enjoyable, but not what I consider a top caliber tripel. StumpMe (30), Bellingham, USA Jun 2, 2007 I had this one on tap at Brouwers in Seattle for their Belgian beer month. This strong ale was easy to drink but left a bitter aftertaste. Appearance is cloudy yellow and had head that went away quickly. Lacing was medium to light. Aroma was yeasty, Flavor was a bit wheaty and sweet. Nice representation of the style Mart (211), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 2, 2007 Mondial de la bière 07. Couleur or-jaune voilée, mousse moyenne qui trace bien le verre. Arôme doux complexe d’épices, de levure, floral. Goût doux, équilibré, légèrement houblonné, épicé. Corps moyen à plein, effervescence moyenne. Bon.
