750 ml green bottle with no cork just a cap. Pours a deep hazy bright golden orange with a huge white frothy lasting head that leaves a sticky lace in my glass. Fruity and spicy cardboard aromas. Fruity buttery lemon and spicy yeasty flavors. Full bodied with lively carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel, finishes spicy and kind of sweet, alcohol is hardly noticed, a great triple

on tap at the Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn NYC. this one was on the house because I bought a box of their namesake lambic. color is yellow gold, clear. head is white and creamy, lasts long. aroma is candi sugar, honey, lemongrass, white rum. flavor is juicy like golden raisins, estery malt, tart wheat, and a little dry spicy hop. some white rum hints are in the flavor, but this finishes clean. biere always tastes better when it’s free!

Bottle. Classy stuff. Very warming and smooth. Sweet, wheaty estery fruit, with some light bretty characters, some orangey yeastyness. Sweetish and full bodied, with a very round mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol in the finish, but it helps balance the beer.

On draught at Redbones, June 2005. Very hazy gold and light copper toned beer, with fine bubbles rising and a medium-sized white head, lightly creamy, well-retained with ample lacing. Aroma is very spicy! Rustic, farmy, hay-like hops add a zesty, pleasant spiciness, while light honey and grains make their way in. Dry apricot and nectarine notes, some brief hints of tangerine and a dry, dusty yeastiness. Flavor is moderately sweet, with good malt-extraction, plenty of spicy hops, though not terribly bitter. Light hints of sour wheat on the end, coriander, delicious yeastiness and a full-on grass flavor lingering. Mouthfeel was spot on in my sample, miniscule bubbles provide an invigorating, yet low carbonation, while the malt provides ample body, with no thinning. Alcohol is not noted. Baked wheat bread, honey and light nectarines/tangerines linger, with some dry herbs.

Hazy gold with a beige head. Brilliant farmyardy grainy aroma. Some slight funk too. Sweet grainy start with some wheaty notes. Alcohol very well disguised. Nice stuff

This was a nice tripel, but not extraordinary, by any means. Flavor was bready and yeasty with some fruit notes. Nice color and head, but a somewhat thin nose.

750 mL capped bottle: modest, ivory head that never truly dies. Bready banana laced aroma with hints of coriander, honeycomb, mud caked hops and distinct grassy notes. Close to intense, lively carbonation that is greatly soothing after a couple of long days…Soft gelatin and lightly toasted potato bread flavours give way to a thick yeasty mouth feel and tart esters. Finishes with a long dry earthy bitterness and hints of lemon rind citrus. A wonderful start to what promises to be an exiting beer weekend…
