Amarillo hops again in the aroma, much less than in Estivale, but still dominating over (different, sweeter) orange yeast and honey malt. Flavor is pretty similar, slightly bitter citrus hoppy with good honey, caramel and vanilla malt base. Full bodied with longer finish. A fine hoppy tripel, but nothing special. The nose is very earthy, very yeasty, mildly sweet, big Belgian influence. The flavor is very earthy and yeasty, lightly sweet, spicy. Palate is mildly sweet and well carbonated. The aroma of malts with fruits like citrus, some hops. The taste is fruity like citrus and orange. There are hop bitters with malts. Notes of wood and spices. The aftertaste is nice bittersweet. Fine American hops in the nose, oranges, honey, typical Rulles (which isn’t a bad thing). The taste is fine and full, hop again, agrumey, on the bitter side. Some honey, somewhat yeasty. Light pine. A fine hoppy tripel, not too flashy, tasty. Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Mar 12, 2009 Blond coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Herby spicy aroma. Full palate. finish is herby and bit bitter.
