bonfunck (149), Waasmunster, Belgium Mar 8, 2009 draught at Zythos beerfest 2009, soft beer gentle in the throat, hoppy taste and good tripel Bontus (291), Waasmunster, Belgium Mar 8, 2009 Zythos 2009. Bittery spicy beer with fruity aroma’s and a watery texture (really hard to say when tasting so much different beers). phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 2, 2009 Cloudy, golden with a hint of orange to the colour. Head is medium sized with good retention. Aroma is tropical, bananna and green apple aon the nose. Mouthfeel is light but creamy with a noticeable bit of spice in the initial taste. Apricot with a hint of some sort of grassy herbs and a nice smooth finish. ajm (902), Los Angeles, California, USA Feb 24, 2009 Tap at Lucky Baldwin’s. Brian was selling the pants off this thing. No striking aroma to speak of, and flavor is a bit too much like a Belgian Pale - no thickness or Trappist quality. I quote BrotherGrendel: "A middle of the road Tripel with a bit too much lingering bitterness for the style." nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 4, 2009 This tripel "rulles" (I know, I’m hilarious). Nice hazy golden appearance with substantial white head. Fruity, yeasty aroma, with some floral hops. Complex flavor with light fruits, spices, and yeast. Hoppy finish, smooth palate. Refreshing and satisfying. nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Jan 31, 2009 Draught at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, Roma. September 08. Pours a hazy amber with a a dense head that diminished.
