Rating from old notes, tasted this at a Zythos Bierfestival (in Sint-Niklaas, I think 2005) but apparently overlooked it when entering my old ratings here. Peach blonde beer with yellowish white, moussy head and yeasty as well as lightly spicy hoppy aroma, bit phenolic, bit estery; fruity taste, yeasty but not too dull, light citrussy freshness, sweetish malts with a caramelly touch, full mouthfeel, herbal and lightly spicy but otherwise rather subdued hop bitterness in the finish. Certainly not unpleasant, in fact a rather interesting one in this somewhat tedious Belgian style, but I’d have to taste this anew, as I assume it has inevitably changed in ten years time...

Top Belgian tripel. Aroma of hops, malts and yeast, the way it should be. All well balanced, no offflavors. Very floral and grainy, quite rustic smell to it. Taste is decent tripel, where again hop malts and yeast are so balanced. Mild bitterness, toasted grainy aftertaste and a nice yeasty aftertaste (orval yeast i think). Hops are typical for the Ardenne brews, very floral and grassy. After drinking a lot of IPA’s or RIS or Pepper infused salted smoked dingdong beers, a good Belgian tripel wil ALways stand out. This one is for me one of the best Belgian tripels.

Always in bottle. To it’s a benchmark of triple beer style although with some rustic aspects that make it somehow peculiar. Aspect is deep orange with white wonderfully persistent creamy head. Aroma is basically, cereal, floral and fruity. Flavour again is fruity with honey notes but capable to be dry

Tap @ Delirium Café, Brussels 150514. Fruity, yeasty and spicy with estery notes, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry and yeasty with estery notes.

La rulles triple was one of my go-to-beers 5 years ago. I was hence happy to see it again in Norway to finally rate it. Hazy orange with white head. Belgian spice, caramel, pepper, saison, floral and yeast. Dry, fruity and spicy finish. Overall: Some really interesting Belgian, spicy alcohol and noble hops flavors. Probably pairs well with food.

Bottle. Nose is grain, straw, belgian yeast, suprisingly light on the esters (for the style - still present) some saison like funk, more straw. Taste is grain, straw, funk, herbal and floral hop notes, pepper and corriander, spice, biscuit, a sweet honey note and a funky finish with emergin fruits as it warms. An emerging mandarin citrus note lifts the be. It tastes like a triple mixed with a Saision, which fits perfectly with the Rulles range with a rustic style. I love brewers which have the ability to shape styles to their templates.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2016 Colore dorato, bella schiuma. Odore molto fruttato, zucchero caramellato, molto leggero erbaceo. Sapore dolce, malto e caramello, alcool ben nascosto, finale amaro. Ottimo bilanciamento di sapori dolce/amaro, ottima birra.
