Cloudy yellow/golden with frothy head. Light spices, pepper, perhaps nutmeg. Not super-frothy palate, but a lively aroma and fairly easy drinking. A winner. (2004 Christmas Party, my #2, group’s #1)

Sample at the Belgian tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 1/28/10. Hazy orange/amber pour with a medium off-white head. Funky and grassy aroma with a bit of sweetness. Sweet and fruity flavor giving way to a semi-sweet and super carbonated finish.

Appearance: Cloudy. nice head. Brassy color. Aroma: Flowers. Saffron? I think I got the yeast shot; a bit skunky. Perfume. Palate: Carbonation is good. Good mouthfeel. Flavor: Light bread? Herbal. Moderate sweetness. Not bad, but not the best.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marko (2977) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 15, 2009
0.75l bottle from the Beershop shared with heavy (thanks!). Poured a beautiful darker orange body, medium-small white head. Fine American hops in the nose, oranges, honey, typical Rulles (which isn’t a bad thing). The taste is fine and full, hop again, agrumey, on the bitter side. Some honey, somewhat yeasty. Light pine. A fine hoppy tripel, not too flashy, tasty.

Pours amber into a tulip. Tan conglomerate head leaves chunky lacing as it recedes. Bread, earth and hay aromas. Medium bodied, with front-to-back sweet caramel turning to a dry, slightly bitter lasting finish.
