from Village de la Bière, Strasbourg; labelled bière de Noël de l’Oncle Hansi - pours a cloudy amber-brown colour with a solid beige foam; notes of ginger and some other undefined spices; good malt body with a subtle carbonation, some notes of red fruits and spices in a long finish - well-made and pleasant

Bottle @ Mondial 2008. Enticing aroma of malt, coca-cola like too? deep cloudy copper, almost no head. Taste of malt is in the forefront, fruit, which wasn’t apparent in the nose, light bodied, sweet with lots of cola carbonation. Joyeux Noel en mai!

Cloudy amber colored, disappearing head. Cinnamon and other christmas spices in the aroma, different but interesting. Very weak and watery flavor. Spicy and herby and ultra dry.

Bottled. Cloudy amber. Cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Notes of toffee and somewhat yeasty. Low bitterness. Quite pleasant.

An unclear orange-brown beer with no head. The aroma is spicy with notes of cinnamon and medicin. The flavor is sweet spicy again cinnamon and nutmeg. Somewhat Christmas like, but not very good.

Bottled: Orange coloured. Murky. Not much head. Is spiced and malty in the aroma. Flavour is quite watery and thin. Some malt and very vague spices. Light fruit. Is weak in the end. As Alex says. Don’t go here.

Muddy amber color. Strange spicy (nutmeg) and herbal aroma, light rosemary. Too weak (malty) body, very spicy (nutmeg). Avoid it…
