Drank right at Les Trois Brasseur on St-Catherines at Crescent Street in Montreal.
The reviewer below is off his rocker.
Pours a nice dark brown color with cream colored head. Head dissolves rather fast but steady lacing as the drink goes down. Smells of roasted notes and coffee, tastes similar: malt, chocolate, coffee. If you can’t pick these out like the reviewer below then I dunno what to tell you. Probably my favorite of their brews. Recommended!

On tap at new restaurant in Sainte-Foy. Dark brown with a pale beige head. Smells like chocolate. Tastes like chocolate and thick, heavy, sweet caramel. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Very good!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the brewpub
Dark black/brown, tan head, light lacing. No sediment! The nose is heavily roasty with chewy raisin and coffee notes. The flavor is very nutty and sweet. Fizzy hops balance, dessert like but not cloying or over the top. I like. A bit like cigarette butts in the tail unfortunately which turns my calm relaxed look into more of a post-gag "WTF is this shit" kind of look.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A french beer very close to a belgium style beer, not to bitter but just enough, it has a smoky and sweet taste to it. A good beer to have with friends.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub in Lille
Deep dark (mahoney), clear body. Lightly brown, creamy head with an excellent lace. Aroma of smoke, chocolate, coffee, strongly roasted malts, dark fruit: quite complex and well balanced. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour: nice, but not overwhelming. Some annoying stickiness in the flavour.

I tried this beer on January 13, 2011 on draught at "The Three Brewers" Brewpub in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a solid translucent brown colour with a rocky tan coloured head. The aroma was nutty malt, floral hops, and some caramel. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was nutty malt, sweet malt, with a bitter finish.

Big malt aroma. Mid brown coloured smooth and a little sweet on the palate. Malty with a hint of dryness in a bitter coffee roast finish.

Pretty good stout. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is very nutty and roasted malts. Taste is a solid mouthfeel, with loads of hazelnut and dark roasted malts. Quite nice sessionable stout.
