(Bottle 33 cl) Bottle # 18, aged - best before december 2003. Very beautiful reddish amber with a crea,y, beige head. Lightly tart, fruity nose. Medium-bodied with some lightly roasted malt and caramel. Discreet hoppiness in the finish. Quite lovely - has aged with grace. Thanks to fiulijn for this. 020506

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of grain and caramel. The color is a beutiful clear red with a beutiful head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, grains, roast, and smoke. A really nice beer. Thanks to Alex (Fiulijn) for trading this one with me.

Extremely lively bottle; muddy dark amber color. Strong aroma of chocolate, some mold, light sourness. The body became thinner in the years, yet quite balanced, a bit more complex than it used to be, with a light sourness. Interesting ageing experiment.

Cloudy amber color, poor head. Nice aroma, but simple: malt, some hop, caramel. Ordinary amber, without originality and a real character. Reasonable body strength, some residual sweetness at the end. Ordinary palate.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2004 re-rate 09/27/2004: cloudy amber-brown colour, big creamy head, strong caramel aroma, earthy, some chocolatey notes, creamy and overcarbonated, dry and bitter, the finish is quite thin with more caramel notes
May 2002 (6/2/5/2/9): dirty red-brown colour, no head, fruity and malty nose, dense, sweet and quite neutral flavour, tart with a short fruity finish - lacks of character - a strange brew
