La Socarrada is a "gastro-ale," or food-pairing golden ale made with only, water, malts (pils/amber), hops, yeast, rosemary, and rosemary honey. La Socarrada pours a beautiful golden-amber color with a light, white, non-persistant head. The nose is wonderfully appetizing, filled with rosemary, rosemary-honey, and a light bread-like quality. The taste is full of rosemary, rosemary honey, and fruity characteristics along the lines of pear, apple, and fig. There is also a distinct gingery bite as well as a light note of black pepper. The body is both crisp and pleasantly dry. It is recommended to be served around 45° in a white wine glass or snifter.

Excelente.

Lovely herbal aroma, hints of rosemary and honey. Beautiful golden hoeny color, white head, tiny bubble and lacing. Wonderful rosemary and honey notes, balanced malt profile. Mediun body. Overall I love this beer!

Had this beer on tap at Jester King 2nd Anniversary Party. Really surprised. Rosemary and honey were very prominent and blended wonderfully with the base. Refreshing and different.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a thick white head and will foam over if you manhandle the bottle. Bottle conditioned so yeast is present if you overturn the bottle. Strong aroma of rosemary and a touch of herbaceous; almost like holy water. Light mouthfeel with forward hoppiness. Bright carbonation and a quick finish on the palate. Would pair excellently with a soft cheese.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a small head that fades soon, but there’s a lace all the time until you finish. Sediments are cre clearly visible. Smells like walking through a forest: pine, rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus... Fresh and creamy palate, dry finish and taste again of forest, rosemary dominates but with notes of almost of the plants you can think. Exceptional, IMO.

Beautifully well played. The hint of rosemary on the nose to follow with a subtle touch of honey was captivating. I believe I’ll have another

Very murky dark urine in color with an off-white head. Very nice effervesence. Tastes of fresh wheat- very refreshing.

Peppery aroma with a definite rosemary notes. Clear honey color in the glass. Fairly soft on the palate some honey notes and definite rosemary flavor notes. Overall, i’m quite impressed! This makes me want to experiment with rosemary in my homebrews...

I am not very fan of honey beers, but it was a gift from my wife. It was a nice surprise to me. Colour pale amber with a thin head that dissapers very quickly. Aroma is plenty of rosemary and herb, very refreshing. Taste is a mirrow of the aroma. Lots of rosemary at the beginning, then you can feel the rosemary honey coming in. The mix is really good, because of the rosemary, the beer is not so much sweet due to the honey add. Non alcohol apreciated. Neutral yeast notes and low bitterness of fresh herbal hops. Dry and nice finish. Good and original beer. If you are not a rosemary fan, you may find it excesive.

Su aroma y sabor a romero domina y sorprende, combina muy bien con carnes de caza. Es muy equilibrada, pero, te tiene que gustar el romero, si no mejor otra... ¡A mí me encanta!
