COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Socarrada is a "gastro-ale," or food-pairing golden ale made with only, water, malts (pils/amber), hops, yeast, rosemary, and rosemary honey. La Socarrada pours a beautiful golden-amber color with a light, white, non-persistant head. The nose is wonderfully appetizing, filled with rosemary, rosemary-honey, and a light bread-like quality. The taste is full of rosemary, rosemary honey, and fruity characteristics along the lines of pear, apple, and fig. There is also a distinct gingery bite as well as a light note of black pepper. The body is both crisp and pleasantly dry. It is recommended to be served around 45° in a white wine glass or snifter.

Had this beer on tap at Jester King 2nd Anniversary Party. Really surprised. Rosemary and honey were very prominent and blended wonderfully with the base. Refreshing and different.

Pours a hazey honey orange-golden in color with light white head. Quite herbal sweet aroma, dominated by rosemary. Light and moderately sweet transitioning to to an earthy herbal rosemary finish. A great light, different beer that would go well with almost anything.

Draught. Nose is slightly sweet with an earthy rosemary note. Cloudy bright orange with no head. Rosemary is pretty forward but balanced by the sweet floral honey tones and spicy yeast character. Soft carbonation and thickness leave a very full impression on the palate.
