2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yespr (22245) - Copenhagen O, - OCT 21, 2011
From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy to murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is estery, banana. cloves and light fruity to bubblegum like. Bubblegum yeasty and light fruity. Ends dry, estery and light yeasty, not so much banana estery though. Still not my style of beer, wellmade though.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy gold pour, frothy white head. Banana-clove aroma, hard to distinguish anything else in this. Taste is sweet and wheaty, with a strong clove spice finish. Palate is a bit syrupy with light carbonation. Fits the style, just not all that interesting.

Flavor is very similar with a nice balance between banana, cloves and bread with a dry finish. Very tasty and refreshing. A well made weizen.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2011
My Bottom Line :
Wheat, barley, cloves, bananas and floral hops are all perfectly aligned in this dryish, quenching Weizen.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sticky head of foam sits atop the cloudy whitish yellow.
-All expected flavors are present here, all levelled.
-The hops become herbal in the finish, providing some bitterness.
-This may not be the most distinctive Weizen, but it serves its purpose admirably.
-The mouthfeel could be a tad more cushiony, in my tastes. It’s quite dry as is.
-It never gets boring from the first to the last sip; nice flavor dosage. NOt too intense (of course), not too shy either.
On tap at the brewpub.
