Pours pale blond with good white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of fruits, citrus, caramel. Taste is of caramel, sweetness, flowers, fruits, citrus. Palate: Ligth body. Overall: Extremely drinkable. A serious Kolsch we got here. All in finesse, no important flaw detectable for me.

On tap @ La Succursale. Clear blond/golden with a small white head. Aroma of cereals, vegetables, herbal hops and slight citrus. Taste is slightly sweet with malt/caramel, herbal hops, vegetables and slight citrus. Body is light. Crisp, fresh and drinkable. Good Kölsch!

Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur jaune-dorée et claire. Nez de grains de céréales avec des notes fruitées (agrumes), de houblon herbeux et de pain. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et un peu croustillant ainsi qu’une texture très légèrement huileuse. Notes fruitées (agrumes, surtout de citron) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de céréales frais et un léger goût de pain puis en finale l’on retrouve une très légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes fraîches) aux notes florales. Post-goût court-moyen, aux notes asséchantes de houblon herbeux légèrement amer. (24 mars 2012)

Malty and fresh. Not much bitterness (it’s a kolch after all) high drinkability and good flavor. It’s pretty good session beer at 4.8%. It was served too cold though.

Glass on tap at La Succursale (Montreal). Crystal clear blonde with frothy white head. Aroma: lemon (good!) and hops. Taste is a little more malty, along with the lemon. On mouth this is the same feeling as drinking mineral water. Refreshing. Good beer in a weak style...

En fût à La Succursale. Couleur jaune pâle translucide, mousse légère. Arôme de citron, d’herbes fraîchement coupées. Goût de citron, légère amertume, tout en finesse. Carbonation moyenne-élevée.

Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2012, June 9.Pours a hazy yellow-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma for the style, with grain, honey, fruit and malt. Flavour’s the same, with grain, fruit, honey and malt. Creamy mouthfeel. A pretty good Kolsch, I didn’t get any of the diacetyl notes that some others got.

Cloudy pale yellow. Smells like creamed corn and sulphur. Sweet and sulphury. Well, not a good one for me.

Aroma butter, creamy front with sweet malts behind.3+
Appearance bright golden ale with medium lighter white top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : creamy, silky texture , chewy. Sweet malt at mid. Slightly better at finish. Serious diacetyl issues.

Un verre sur place, beau samedi en compagnie de Boul et de Patrick. Cette bière s’est rapidement créée une notoriété comme l’une des meilleures bières de soif à Montréal. C’est effectivement une belle bière blonde-dorée avec une belle mousse blanche. Le nez est fruité avec des litchis et de la mangue. C’est très intéressant. En bouche le tout descend bien les saveurs sont bien définis. Le squelette bien proportionné. Et ce petit goût de mangue fort agréable. Un vraie bière de soif.
