JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium May 31, 2005 Just off-white, luxurious head; very clear red-to-brown ale, but end of bottle fully opaque. Very fruity nose, grapes, raisins, rhubarb, actually more than a tad lambic-y. Fruity taste, tomatoes and marjoram; grapes again and finishes just a tad woody. Needs the yeast to develop all its flavours, the clear beginning is too lifeless. Sourishness at the end reminds again of lambic. Refreshing, yet very full body. Very nice beer, definitely worth looking for - yet I wonder whether this taste was intentional? Kåstå (1144), Mol, Belgium Sep 8, 2004 Light cloudy somewhat dark amber colourd beer with a big head. The aroma is light molasses and some spice, maybe corriander. The taste is light sour, somewhat burned and a bit flat. The aftertaste is chalky and a bit dry.
