I went with this beer instead of one made with cascade cause i wanted to taste that intense IPA. NO hops at all, and it tastes like burnt rubber. I was very disapointed.

As a lover of IPA’s, I was pretty excited to try this beer after reading it’s claim on the bottle of being, "An Intense IPA". This is completely false advertising because it is a pretty mild IPA, a malty beer in which the hop taste is present but not very prominent. However, once one gets over the disappointment of false expectations, it is not a bad beer, decently balanced with a pleasant malt taste. Not a beer that I would put among the best of the IPA’s or even typical of the style but still one that is enjoyable to drink.

Bière pétillante, peu malté, moyennement houblonné, arôme légèrement fruité.

Eructoblaster (2122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 17, 2010
Bottle - 660ml. Hazy chestnut body with heavy carbonation and a thin off-white foamy/bubbly head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with light grassy and flowery hints. Taste is relatively thin and slightly misbalanced. It tastes like a beer that has not aged long enough. It ends with a short bitter finish. Decent, but needs improvement.

Lubiere (7002) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2009
A hazy amber IPA with a thin white creamy off white head. In aroma, a rather herbal hops, with light chalky notes, a bit off. In mouth, a malty crisp ale with rather earthen hops, no floral notes, a bit of catnip, weedy. Medium bodied. Bottle from Grand Duc. Tasted Nov. 5 2009 with GRM and Mike H.

Fairly solid IPA. Not the normal bitterness bite but more smooth on the palate. Aroma is hoppy, taste has hop, a little bitterness but then a nice smooth finish. Enjoyed!
