Bottle (660ml). Opaque black pour, solid creamy tan head. Very pleasant aroma, medium roast coffee malt, mild sour cherry and dry herbal hops. Taste is also pleasant, creamy chocolate-cherry, nice mild roast, quick soft finish. Light carbonation and body, a little acidity, no aftertaste - I thought this was pretty damned good, but my bottle is a least a year old, mayb some aging helped it out.

Pours pitch black poor with an almost non-existant brown head. Aromas of chocolate milk, yeast, a hint of licorice and roasted malts. Very thin bodied... water like... extremely dissapointing

Bottle. Deep black body with a ring of tanned head. Aroma of raisins, sweet red plums, green leafy pine, and faint chocolate. Flavour and mouthfeel are quite thin - yeasty chocolate is mildly subdued, along with sweet roast and toffee.

Roasted malts evoke coffee and cocoa-like chocolate in the biscuity aroma with mild underlying grape-like fruity esters. Opaque black body is topped by a decent, though fizzy, tan head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover and ring and completely shortly thereafter. Grapes are apparent in the flavour but pleasantly married to a biscuity malt character and plenty of roasted malts and powdery chocolate. Sweetness becomes cloying after a while. Medium body with shortlived carbonation that leaves the body feeling rather flat. While perhaps not great, this is at least drinkable. American pint glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Peluso, Jan-05).

Pas mauvais mélange de chocolat et de café, un peu amère au goût. Pas pire ça!
