660 mL bottle from Peluso. Hazy caramel brown with no head. Not a promising beginning. The aroma is solid, though, with some floral hops, a touch of bubblegum, some caramel. The flavour is several disasters, led primarily by cardboard.

The aroma is slightly sweet with a bit of fruit as well. Caramel and toffee in addition to some light yeastiness. Slightly dusty with a bit of dry bready character. Meh - not awful but not great.

Bouteille 660 ml. 7%. Couleur jaune foncé vers le ambrée, voilée. Mousse blanche TROP abondante. Arômes de levure, malt. Goût d’agrumes, trop grande effervescence. Juste pas mon genre de beer.

Bottle - 660ml. Cloudy golden body with a diminishing white creamy head. Bland malty aroma with some yeasty hints. Taste is malty/yeasty as well and carries candy notes. It leaves a short yeasty/alcohol aftertaste. Needs improvement.

Bomber from Depanneur Peluso, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep golden with a small white head. Aroma: Quite fruity with lots of apple, peach, apricot, a little pear, some berries, lightly spicy, somewhat yeasty, quite sweet. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: An initial hit of esters – bubblegum and cotton candy, vodka (bad), some floral honey, much less of the fruity character; lightly sweet with a touch of bitterness and a strong alcohol after-taste.

The nose had promise, but the flavour was very unpleasant. I’m gonna dump this and save the calories for a good brew....

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a super large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of weird grainy malt with some smoked(?) which didn’t really fit in the mix and some stale hops. Taste was also a very strange and unpleasant mix between some grainy unrefined malt with some stale dry hops and a smoky finish which I didn’t apprehend. Very hard to describe if this is an unfortunate experience or an infected beer but either way I am not about to try this again.

660ml bottle. Bottle exploded... I think I lost 1/3 of what was inside ... (infected bottle??). Anyway the beer itself wasn’t bad at all. Really malty and a pronounced taste of yeast. Good mouthfeel, alcohol well hidden. A great effort but doesn’t stand up from the crowd.

(Rating #1932)
