The flavour is very fruity and perfumed with further notes of spice and toffee. MrManning (1643), London, Ontario, Canada

Good lace and retention on this one. Yeasty, spicy, fruity nose (pear, apple) with ample fresh hops and leafy greens. This ale shows fresh pear and other fruit flavours with a spicy, yeasty middle leading to marked hops and bitterness. Creamy and easy drinking for the alcohol content. Quite nice. As I recall, this was a tasty blonde with a fruity and hoppy balance. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Had this as one of the four 750mls in the fridge, the other being the dubbel, triple and quad. I figured this would have some bite, but was surprised by the fruits, of pear and apple that permeated this. This didn’t quite make methodone orange, but it was far too orange tinged for me to see it as a pure blond. Like some ratings before, it sneaks up on you with the strength, and give you a whallop if you go into to quickly. I wasn’t too happy with the mouthfeel (since it came across oily), but the nose and taste had me trying to figure it out for some time. Generally not bad, but a little watered down and lacking tongue punch for me to call it really "great" or anything. (Bottle Pour 3/28/2008) espenra (282), Oslo, Norway

Pours a golden color with very little head. I’d say it’s more amber than blonde, but that’s nitpicking. The flavor tastes of sweet malts. It also has a very short, almost non-existant aftertaste. Overall it’s a nice summer beer. DUNGA (10), Belgium

Looks more amber to me than Blond but hey, I’m maybe color blind... More sweet than bitter, a good beer for Holland... ;)
