33 cl bottle. I expected much more from this beer. A trappist beer that is no better than any other blond beer...

Pours a clear, orange body with a - for a Trappist brew - pretty weak head, fading after only seconds. Smell is weak as well, some light malts, honey and syrup comes forth, but not much else. Taste is sweet but balanced; some hops are there but overall there is mostly a light sugary feel to the whole thing. Low on fruityness as well. Mouthfeel is slightly watery with a tad to much carbonation for the overall lightness, making it too lofty and adding even more to the lack of substance. Honestly, I know La Trappe Blond is a Trappist ale and all, but I’m not quite feeling it.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with almost no head. Aroma of sweet malts, spices, sugar and some fruits. Flavor is sweet and slightly bitter in a nice balance. Smooth and mild brew, yet flavorful and drinkable. Creamy texture.

Shared this one w/SkyCop32. Pours a medium golden yellowish color. Aromas of fruit, yeast and some pepper. Flavors are sour, yeasty, and a touch of sweetness at the finish.
