Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Dec 2, 2006 Very fruity aroma of apple, mango and yeast. Hazy orange colour, thick white head. Orange taste, nice long bitter aftertaste. altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Nov 12, 2006 Bottle at home. Refreshing ale with a kick to it. Fast-head, orange, smells and tastes citrusy. Sugar picks up at the end. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Nov 9, 2006 Pours a deep golden orange with an initially large white head, which fades. . Soft and different. A bit fruity, hints of pears, green grapes (white wine like), touch of old basement. Light fluffy mouthfeel. Sweetness is present. Fruity, pears a bit muscat like. Touch of green grapes, apricot. A bit of a stale charateristic, corky flavor, almost reminiscent of wet basement. Soggy woodchip, late alcohol hint. Different. elektronikfagteknikerlærling (892), kbh, Denmark Oct 25, 2006 bottle. yellow color. large dissapating head. grassy aroma. bit alcohollic. bit yeasty. some citric notes. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 23, 2006 Updated: Oct 31, 2006Bottle. Colour is golden with a hazy look to it. Fine white head. Aroma is peaches, spices, yeast, and maybe even some lemon. Flavour is sweet. Body I thought was light-medium. Smooth sweet finish (**). jhumphries69 (717), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Oct 13, 2006 Beer pours deep gold, almost orange, with white head. The white head is thick and laces the glass heavily. The aroma is a little grassy, lots of sweet malts, sugar, and lots of yeast - very bready and sweet with some alcohol, too. The beer is very bready and malty, very little hops, some sweetness. The finish is thinner, with a little hops and some astringent, grassy flavors. mutant (854), Melbourne, Australia Oct 4, 2006 Gold with a merange like head. Big aroma of peaches and spices. Lots of fruit flavour without too much spice. I prefer it like this. The spices do however contribute to an excellent bitter finish. I don’t usually like this style but I really liked this regardless of this bottle not being trappist. Probably the best of this style I’ve drunk. Much, much better than the Jopen blonde I had recently. Diogène (543), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2006 Bottle from the SAQ. Poured a hazy blond ale with a medium white head that disappear quickly. The aroma is pretty subtel but reveal interesting notes of spices, sweet malt, and honey. Taste is well malted, not too sweet, with a nice coriande touchr and a long spicy, sweet and somewhat bitter aftertaste. Palate is a little shy of being medium. Good.
