| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2006 Pretty good, somewhat standard belgian. Pours mirky yellow orange with a head that lasts for a while, not forever. Aroma is very strong yeast and sugar. Flavor is biting on the tongue, bready and alcohol, and some sweetness. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Had a ultra refined fresh wheat colored body. Very little aroma...subtle or all together lacking? What was there was a bit of sweet florals and spicey yeast. The taste was also a little under-ambitious. But what the hell...it had some nice honey and fresh fruit going on...and it did have a clean hop finish that let you appreciate the bit of slight belgian character it had with each new sip. Mouthfeel was refreshing and light bodied. This is a belgian you’d drink at a baseball game or something like that. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2006 Damn I wish it were easier to spell the name of this one should have stuck with la trappe. Clear copper body and a nice silk white head. Honey and hay aroma with an earthy yeast scent to it. I bought the special 4 pack with this the dubbel tripel and quad. So now I have a cool little bowl of a koningshoeven glass. And it does look nice in the glass. A nice flavor to this, white grapes, a touch of banana and a bit of clove in the background. Sticky mouth feel a nice refreshing tart finish that works well.
