bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Dec 21, 2004 Bottle. Amber color with a whitish head. Fruity banana aroma with yeast and malt. Malt, fruit, and big banana flavors. Medium body with a certain smoothness. Some metallic flavors to end with. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Dec 6, 2004 Pours murky golden yellow with a big white head. Aroma is yeasty banana and some citrus maybe orange? Banana did not show up well in the flavor mostly a light malt taste with a slightly dry bitter finish. Just lacks a bit in flavor. Overall decent. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Dec 1, 2004 Yellow color much cargo, veiled aspect.
Adherent foam. Good scent but without expected particular. Too much high lightly the alcoholic degree.
Altogether good. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2004 Great aroma from yeast. Fruity peach and secondary citrus taste, easy drink. Good 1st or 2nd beer. A great pale. Hoppy too. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 16, 2004 Hazy golden color, light hoppy fruity aroma and taste, medium body, light sweet finish. igel (196), New Mexico, USA Oct 3, 2004 A golden/amber color, with light co2 and a full white head (low retention). Light aroma hop, and smells of bubblegum, malt, cider and banana. Flavor is lightly sweet -- malt and banana with a tart and lightly acrid finish. Palate is light bodied, but lively and effervescent.
IMHO: No brouhaha here. I am partial to Belgian beer, but this one is not very remarkable and poorly balanced.
jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Aug 28, 2004 Golden color with a thick white head.
Sweet fruit aroma with a bit of a musty
scent. Sweet malt and fruit flavor but
not overly so. Finish is a little tart and
bitter. I’m surprised at the fairly low
average for this beer. I liked it quite a bit. hopdog (5525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 27, 2004 Koningshoeven Label. Poured a medium cloudy orange color with a larger, frothy head. Aromas of yeast, fruity, some citris and light spices. Tastes of light spices, citris and fruits. Light tart finish. Not bad...
