ever so slightly hazy deep gold, fluffy white head. aroma of pear, banana, sour plum, hint of grape and yeast. starts malty with a good mix of fruit and goes mildly earthy and yeasty in the finish.

Blond beer with a big creamy head. Light floral-hoppy aroma. Woody, floral taste. Sweet start with a neutral finish.

Big fluffy, clinging head on a hazy yellow body--but I had to pout into a blue glass because that's all my mother had.... Musty, cork aroma, deeply cellared flavor with spiciness and alcohol present. Metallic edge, slightly bitter. Slightly flat as palates go. Despite all that, I thought this was very drinkable in a pinch.

Light, malty aroma ... beautiful redish gold color with diminishing head ... bitter start, with a slightly fruity mid-range and a lightly sweet finish ... a nice flavor range, would drink again.

Koningshoeven label-pour was very nice frothy white head atop a beautiful golden honey colored body...nose was very bread very slight hints of fruit..Carbonation made for a good mouthfeel...Flavors were pretty bland...not what I was expecting

Thought I was actually buying a Belgian Trappist, not true, taste is very indicative of the the strong ABV with an alcohol aftertaste, average taste but overall was disappointed especially considering the price tag $45/case

Green beans in the nose. nice forthy head. Nice spice on the pallate. A surprisingly refreshing ale- seems to have more alcohol then the 6.5%

Bottled: Clear golden coloured. Huge white head. Malty, spicy and light alcaholic aroma. Fruits (apple), malt and a sharp alcahol edge in the flavour. Light watery. Alcahol is dominant in the aftertaste. Probably the worst La Trappe beer IMHO.
