This is the first time I try a trappist beer from Holland, and quite frankly even if its geographicly close to Belgium, its beer is far from its neighboors. I pours a clear gold color with an almost non exsistant white foam. It has a malty taste but nothing special to my liking. I have had many regular lager that are much better, and for a Trappist I was very dissapointed.

330ml bottle into a Trappist glass. A hazy golden ale with one finger of loose off white head. Spicy yeast aromas predominate with hints of oranges and caramel malts. The taste is fruity (mainly orangey) and quite sweet but it finishes with a gentle warming bitterness. It is not as sweet as a Leffe Blonde. Medium bodied and drinkable. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Deep golden, a bit unclear, quickly collapsing white head. Sweetish orangey-tart nose with a light spicy and phenolic touch. Moderate sweet-tart flavour, medium bodied. Orange peel in the sweet and tart finish. Average "belgian" ale..........
