Now labeled as Koningshoeven and not LaTrappe. Technically not ’Trappist’. A bit lite but good flavor... weak body for the style, but an easy drink and a good value.

This beer poured a golden color and formed a nice sudsy white head with some nice lace. Some carbonation. Definate aroma of hops and some citrus. The flavor was of hops and citrus. The finish was slightly tangy, no doubt due to the carbonation and citrus. A good beer.

I just finnished mowing the lawn, and what do I choose to quench my thirst? no, not some ordinary lager, I chose this. A light, yet meditative brew. golden blond. fruity/citrus with a nice yeasty malt flavor. very nice on a hot day.

Golden blonde in colour. Poured with little head that disappeared quickly. Fruity, citrus aroma. Mild tasting. Refreshing.

Sparkling light golden color, little head, fine lace. Dusty, light fruity - apples, some citrus, malty aroma. Sweet malt taste, yeasty. Quite tasty, smooth, mild. Nice beer.

This was my first Trappist ale, surely most of the others must be better?? Well, it’s not a bad sipping beer, but I expected so much more. Lovely aroma when you open the bottle, diminishes considerably in the glass. I started drinking it too cold, but it didn’t improve much as it warmed up. Sweetish aftertaste. Maybe I would have liked it more with a solid meal? Definitely not worth the price.

Nice orangey amber with good amount of carbonation. I like the nose on this, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. A little sweet, with some appley tones. Very little in the amount of flavour, either cold or after some warming. It wasn’t as thin as it could have been, and I wasn’t all that disappointed. Perhaps I wasn’t expecting a whole lot.
