COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle. Filtered, then bottled with sugar and yeast.
Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Hops, Yeast.
This scintillating golden ale boasts a rich, fruity, and fresh aroma. And a light malty and sweet taste. It has a soft bitterness with a friendly aftertaste. A well-balanced blend of complexity and simplicity. La Trappe Blond continues to ferment in the bottle.

Green beans in the nose. nice forthy head. Nice spice on the pallate. A surprisingly refreshing ale- seems to have more alcohol then the 6.5%

Bottled: Clear golden coloured. Huge white head. Malty, spicy and light alcaholic aroma. Fruits (apple), malt and a sharp alcahol edge in the flavour. Light watery. Alcahol is dominant in the aftertaste. Probably the worst La Trappe beer IMHO.

Hazy orangy hue. Off White head. Lasting wisps of head. Strange wine like aroma with sweet malts. Alcholic flavour with honey and malt. Smooth carbonation Sweet

33 cL bottle, snifter, 55 degrees F. Tall, frothy, rocky, white head is slowly diminishing and sits on a yellow-amber body that is slightly hazy and has lively carbonation. Grain and straw malt (M); flowery, grassy hops (L); bubble gum, grape aromas. Weak and artificial aroma. Moderately sweet throughout with a lightly bitter, lightly acidic, unclean finish. Slight vegetal presence as this one warms. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: not good.

Hazy golden robe with a generous off-white head, long-lasting. Aroma is sweet, malty crème caramel together with a estery medicinal fruitiness (bananas, peaches), spicy. Taste is more of the same with a light refreshing tartness paired with a dry finish. Overall, I'd compare it to Brugse Straffe Hendrik Blond, it's okay, but will never stand out.

(11.2 oz bottle) Pours a HUGE frothy, almond head and a cloudy, golden body. Head is non-dissipating. Beautiful perfume nose of bubblegum and bananas. Little detection of the 6.5% ABV. Smooth, Lovely!

Wonderful aroma and appearance. The flavor reminded me of banana creme pudding. Very smooth and drinkable.

Slightly cloudy, golden, somewhat creamy head and nice lace. Soft malty nose with saaz and flowery hop notes and some definite yeast characteristics. Medium bodied, smooth, fairly soft with some biting carbonation. Nice malts with a weird yeasty, slick, fruity sweetness, somewhat dry and bitter finish. Very drinkable and you could do alot worse.

This was good, but it was not nearly as good as other I have had from this one. A very lively appearance and aroma, that pours a light golden color. Lots of big fruit flavors and a taste that is very dry. Again, lightly skunky, but very enjoyable to drink.

Sampled at Stockholm beer festival 2003. Golden, a bit hazy. Fine head. Fruity aroma from plums/prune. Rather lively and fresh with a fruity flavour.
