This scintillating golden ale boasts a rich, fruity, and fresh aroma. And a light malty and sweet taste. It has a soft bitterness with a friendly aftertaste. A well-balanced blend of complexity and simplicity. La Trappe Blond continues to ferment in the bottle.

Slightly hazy golden color with a two finger fluffy head with short retention. Light aroma of Belgian yeast, bread, cloves, banana and orange peel. Very balanced flavor, fruity with a mild spicy touch. Notes of banana, citrus, peaches, pear, grapes, wheat and bubble gum. Dry and mildly bitter aftertaste. Light to medium body with an effervescent carbonation. Alcohol of 6.5% abv is very well hidden. Very elegant beer, perfectly balance between complexity and drinkability.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

A slightly hazy yellow body with a quickly settling white head. Nose has sweet estery notes of honey, spices and flowers. Taste is sweet with a rather strong bitterness on the aftertaste. Lively carbonation and light palate. Quite nice and complex blonde.

Ca.1,50Euro.

Served in a La Trappe glass from a bottle. Pours clear gold colour with white fast diminishing head. Aroma is a nice combination of malt, molasses with notes of mango and apples. Taste very closely follows the nose with clear malt and molasses with some notes of bread. Full bodied and smooth beer. Nice one and definitely will get more of it!

Cray I didn’t seem to have tried this. Have now. Tick tick boom. Slightly hazy golden blond color with a small white head. Aroma is really nice, bready with Belgian yeast and light fruits, banana and apple. The flavor is really tasty, exactly what this style should be: smooth, bready, lightly fruity, mildly sweet with just a hint of bitterness, very Belgium. Smooth feel with a yeasty bite on the long finish. Quite good for this style, and I like this simple and elegant style more than most.
