This scintillating golden ale boasts a rich, fruity, and fresh aroma. And a light malty and sweet taste. It has a soft bitterness with a friendly aftertaste. A well-balanced blend of complexity and simplicity. La Trappe Blond continues to ferment in the bottle.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden and hazy yellow and with an off-white head. Light hoppy and caramel malty aroma. Fruity and yeasty flavours, slight sweet and with a solid caramel malt note. Nice fruity, slight hoppy, caramel malt sweetness and minor alcohol warming finish. Nice.

A slightly unclear orange beer with a fantastic head. The aroma is primarily fruity but with soft wheat tones. Lovely flavor: orange, sweet, soft, round, wheat, and a sting of alcohol. Ending on a filling sweet note rather than bitterness. A great beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden beer with a fairly small head. Extremely aromatic with distinct, fruity notes. The ale-yeast adds some wonderful, almost exotic notes. Some sweetness, but not cloying. Subdued, short bitterness. Yeast sediment at the botom. 120602

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear amber, small head. Papery malt aroma. Sweet and mustardy with crisp, rather clean mouthfeel. Some almondy yeast, low bitterness. A streamlined, well drinkable rather balanced ale.

Hazy amber beer, small off white head. Banana and bubblegum nose. Dry palate, semi soft with a carbonated bite. Creamy malt, minerals. A little banana cream and a trace of bubblegum. Not bad if slightly over carbonated.

Golden color. Some cork in the nose (it’s a 750ml bottle, corked). Weak body, some residual sweetness. Poor.
