UPDATED: JUN 16, 2008 ceramic bottle, grassy aroma, looks nice, clear yellow with small white foam, refreshing, faint honey, faint water melon, grassy bitterness, sweet aftertaste. easy drinker. also tried 33cl bottle. comments are the same, but aroma more faint than grassy

330ml bottle pours hazy golden color with a 3 finger white head that retains very well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is fruity with some yeasty notes and hops. Taste is fruity and malty sweet with some hoppy bitterness and yeast. Body is heavy for the style and carbonation is very lively. A very nice Belgian blonde ale that is highly recommended. A definite slow sipper.

Deep tasting trappist blonde that is well crafted although a little to heavy in the palate.

33cl bottle. Poured light hazy golden with a foamy, lasting white head. Aroma is very fruity, melon and apricot, hops. Flavor is fruity, hops and yeasty notes. Dry finish. Enjoyable.

amber color with small head that dissapears very quickly. It’s very light and refreshing with sweet fruit and wheat taste. medium body and average carbonation.

Brown 330ml bottle, with a completelty different label to the picture shown, best before May 2009, drank March 2007. Poured into my ’Forbidden Fruit’ chalice glass, just to make it feel at home! It hissed as it fell into the glass and the head just vanished, it wasn’t at home at all, was it? Orange, tangarine in colour, not a true blond, even though that is what it says on the label, terracotta is the nearest colour for me. No head at all, hence the low score. Very poor on the aroma front too, a bit of yeast with a hint of barley and hops. Nothing to excite here either, bog standard, fizzy with a pleasant alcohol kick, but no flavours to talk about, toffee apples at a push. A slight alcohol aftertaste, with citrus fruits arriving later, but still poor for a Trappist beer. Sadly, I have to report this is the worst Trappist beer I have ever had, and I’ve had almost them all. I have another which I will stash away, but this is not what I wanted, or expected.

Tap at Bruadar. Golden with white head. Aroma is a major banana party, sweet, phenolic. Taste is less banana but still heavy phenolic, candi, ripe fruit. Sweet palate. Not for me.

Light copper hazy, big white head. Smells of yeast esters, spices, malts and some hops. Lightly malty taste, medium sweetness, quite fruity, ripe fruits, melons and banana. Medium body, soft carbonation. Finish has a light bitterness with nice complex hops. A really drinkable beer
