This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

A nice sharp malt, with decent bitterness. light caramel undertone. I’m not getting a lot of flavor undertones, but just enough to add some complexity,

0,33 l bottle. A darkest red brown in the glass, mighty light tanned head. Berriefruits and sweet malt on the nose. Starts malty, lower fruity, background sweetness. Later more toffee and chocolate, mit bitterness. Alcoholic in the background. Darkfruity ending. No typical bock.

Dark brown body with ruby tones, tan standing head, smooth thick lacing. Mild aroma but; lots of fermented fruits and berries, caramel malts, mild mild hops. Taste; fruity malts, herbal hops, fruits, berries, plums, almonds, nuts, dark malts, syrup, and a dark juicy lasting finish with fruity chocolate notes. Feels well bodied, ok carbonation. Overall a fruity dunkel bock beer. [33cl brown btl, abv7%, #K02H13 BB08-2016, B@Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen, 6€, T@höme]

Wow! Is it really a bock beer? There is so much aroma and taste. Far beyond any typical bock beer. Wonderful and unforgetable.

Carbonatation moyenne. Bonne bière, bien balancée.
