This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

Medium to dark brown that is hard to see through with a thick, lasting, lacy, frothy, tan head. Smells of dark fruit (prunes and apricot) fills the glass with toasted, caramel and roasted malt and a hazelnut element with a bit of alcohol in the background but not that noticeable. Medium frothy oily body with faint carbonation. Nice sweet toasted malt taste and some light spice with a soft bitterness of a roast in the middle and finishes with a balance of sweet fruit and dark chocolate. Dry and spiced finish. Very easy to drink and the alcohol is only slightly noticeable. A nice bock.

Dark ruby color, frothy and creamy head, nice lace. Dark fruity nose has banana, ripe plums and figs, a hint of roasted maltniness and grassy/herbal hops. Malty flavor is dryish, bready and slightly sourly toasted. Light bitterness in the finish. Velvety texture, medium body. Maybe slightly thin in the finish.
