This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

This beer pours a deep brown with a thin tan head. The aromas are bread, light cinnamon and and a little alcohol. The palate is slighty dry and syrupy with some spiceness in the end. This was a great beer! Cheers!

Bottle, from trade with jbrus. A dark reddish brown beer topped by a dense, beige head. Nutty nose with some roasted malts and a little touch of alcohol. Roasted and nutty flavor with a herbal bitterness. Warming, full.bodied and semi-dry. The flavor has a good bitterness, and some pleasant alcohol warmth, as well as some nutty maltyness. The most interesting part of this beer is that it’s from a Trappist brewery, but it’s also a fine dark bock. 100326

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, molasses, plum, dates and light graininess. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, colas, molasses and plum with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

Bottle. Pours a great looking dark brown with tan head. Aroma is great, notes of malt, dark fruit, black licorice, brown sugar and spice. Flavor is very much the same, semi sweet as well with a touch of dark roasted grain and a nice burnt grain bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable beer but a bit over priced.
