This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

Pours deep brown with an off tan two finger head. Head lasts for a while. Little too no lacing, deep amber hue. Aroma is sweet with mainly malt, caramel, and some sour tang. Caramel malt and dark fruits. Medium body, nice mouthfeel, beer is very lively with high carbonation. Roasted malt bitterness, really spicy, and very well balanced. LaTrappe yeast signature flavor. A nice bockbier and another great latrappe bier.

33cl bottle for the brewery gift shop. Dark, hazy brown color with a stable yellowish head. Toasty malt and fruity esters in the aroma. Fruity and deeply malty flavor with dark caramel leading to a toasty and dry finish. Medium in body and just malty. A nice Dutch bok, I guess. I wouldn’t doubt if they used their top-fermenting yeast for this, as it’s quite fruity.
