Dec 26, 2008 Bottle. Very dark amber colored with a huge brownish head. Roasted malt aroma with hints of caramel and honey. Sweet malty taste with some chocolate and caramel. Slightly bitter finish.

Pours a murky copper/brown colour with a normal size head and little carbonation.
Smell is very rich, nuts there and also some spices and raisins, vaguely some fruits.
Taste is also of nuts and spices, also has the fruit there a bit more present.
Goes down very nice and warm, good bock beer.

Nov 21, 2008 330 ml Koningshoeven bottle. Hazy reddish brown, looks thick. In the doppelbock neighborhood with big malt, licorice, roast, some spiciness. Dry finish. The body is too spritzy for me.

Nov 20, 2008 Good and well brewed. It has this oxide alike aftertaste which I like, of course is not it. The aroma is like ol things but nice.

Oct 26, 2008 75cl bottle from Party Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a dark brown to black with massive white, fluffy head that settles slowly and gracefully laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, candy sugar, ripe fruit. Flavor is much of the same with more prominent notes of chocolate, wood, phenol, toffee, and just a hint of coffee bitterness toward finish. Medium to full body with a slight sweet, slightly bitter finish.

Oct 25, 2008 Pours an amber brown with a pillowy off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, candy sugar, and brown sugar. Flavor is of chocolate, wood, noticeable ethers, toffee, and a hint of coffee bitterness mid-swallow. Smooth earthy, woody flavor with a slight smokiness. Good bock.

Oct 20, 2008 Tomada no teste-cego de bocks do BREJAS. Bela coloração escura, marrom avermelhada, com espuma bege densa, de média duração, deixando uma camada perene. Ótimo aroma frutado (frutas vermelhas). No sabor, notas de malte tostado e ameixas vermelhas. Final levemente seco e amargo. Corpo médio, com certa complexidade. Boa Bock.

Oct 19, 2008 Coloração vermelho-escura interessante. Creme medianamente denso e persistente. Aroma intenso de malte torrado. O sabor é complexo, com sugestão de ameixas, além do malte tostado e um leve álcool bem inserido no conjunto. O final é longo e tostado.
Seguramente, uma cerveja BOCK que oferece sabores e percepções além do seu estilo. Não perca.
