This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

33cl into the wrong glass and shared with my dad. Typical bock nose and sweet. Also has a pepper taste. Good until 2016. Body is disappointing. Sweet of course with a slight hop kick

Bottle at Kipps Alehouse Folkestone. Clear deep brown colour lasting beige head. It’s a bock beer for certain. Quite sweet up front then really bitingly hoppy on the finish. Belgian Trappisst yeast then shed loads of autumnal fruits then this bitterness. some nuttiness. Quite arresting. Big bocky beer. Pretty good.

Flaska från Belgianbeerz.com mörkt rödbrun med stort fluffigt skum. Doftar aningens sött med inslag av druvor. Söt maltig smak, toner av bitter choklad och jäst. Livliga bubblor och god eftersmak.

Piwo butelkowe 750ml. Zapach rodzynek, lekko wyczuwalne nuty wiśniowe i karmelowe. Piana beżowa bardzo trwała, lacing w porządku. Kolor bardzo ciemna czerwień. W smaku karmel, śliwki z lekkim gorzkim posmakiem, w miarę picia aromat wiśni nabiera siły.

Dark brown/red colour. Soft carbonation. Medium body. Sweet aroma with notes of ripe dark fruit and some roastiness. A bit too sweet for me.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A very dark brown beer. I can see brown hues through the light just at the bottom and the top of the beer. Huge thin beige persistant foam. Beautiful. Aroma of caramel, spices, herbs, alcohol. Sweetness is first medium, then light and finally, medium. Bitterness is first light and medium in the end. Medium body. Sweet texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish with a warming note. Overall, I like this beer very much : beautiful and delicious !
