From Bottle into a mug, Dark/haze color with not so much of a foam. HUGE aromas of caramel, alcohol and liqueur. Taste the same, with some dark fruits accompanying the caramel. A very pleasant beer.

Een aangename verrassing! Roodbruin, wat caramelkleurig bier met lichtbruine kraag. Geur is zoet, warm, kruidig en ietwat houtig. Smaak caramel, mout, rood fruit, kruiden. Goede verhouding zoet en bitter en de juiste hoeveelheid koolzuur. Mijn favoriete bokbier tot nu toe.

Draught at The Abbot on the Hill. Rating #2200! Dark ruby-brown with a medium sized tan head that quickly recedes to a thin film. Fantastic aroma of malt, toffee, dark fruit, and a hint of spice. Full bodied without being sticky or cloying, very nice. Lovely, complex flavour - malt, caramel, brown sugar, dark dried fruit, toasted nuts - and a warm, lingering finish. Thanks to the Abbot and Premier Brands for bringing in this rare treat!

It’s a very nice dark bock. This one tastes great. It’s a smooth taste, soft and bitter. Very nice bitter aftertaste. Also nice when not cooled too much.

Bottle (in NZ). Pours a dark ruby red with a large pillowy beige head (it really is beautiful). A smoky aroma, with toffee and pine. A slightly dry palate, oak dominates the flavour, the malt just the right richness. Damn fine.

After a 5 min. struggle with the cork (a 750 ml bottle) a beautyful ruby color appears in my glass, with a thick and slowly diminishing foam that slowly reveals an earthy hop and malt character with some yeastiness. Flavour further adds some notes of wood? The mothfeel is creamy. Nice bitter finish. Great beer.

0,7l Bottle: Deep red amber colour, with a nice creamy head. Aroma of flowers, jeast, citrus, lots of malts, smells lika a typical Belgium ale.Even it is coming from the Netherlands. Flavor is almost the same as the aroma +Vine, citrus, caramel, and a nice hopy/bitter finish. Medium body, and a medium finish. But is this a bock beer?

Bottle. Pours a dark amber toned body with an off white head. Malty body with dark fruit rum raisin notes, some light plum, tawny caramel and a modest warming. A spicy tobacco and hints of roasted malts. Sweet with a drying roasted finish. Nice ale.
