Frugtig brunøl ige et niveau over Leffes, som jeg ellers holder af. Mums!

deludente al palato, forse servita male.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dixonian (940) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 25, 2011
Bottle.
Dark reddish brown pour, beige head. Brown sugar, plum, and sweet malt aromas - flavor is lots of dark fruit. Slightly dry - not my favorite from this brewery.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Defreni (1781) - Husum, DENMARK - APR 25, 2011
Flaske: Flot mørk ravfarvet klar øl med et kæmpe skumhoved. Duft af La Trappe husgær, sødlig frugtet. Smagen er lige ved at være for sød, men den smukke farve opvejer lidt for det. Udmærket øl, men for sød.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Scopey (1192) - Croydon, Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2011
Bottle from Nelson Wine. It pours cloudy mahogany, with a thin fizzy beige head and moderate carbonation. The nose is wood, fig, date, currants, plum and pear-drop boiled sweets. The taste is caramel, cola, toffee, wood, grass, date, currant, chocolate, varnish and charcoal. It has a creamy mouth-feel, long woody finish. A high quality and very drinkable dubbel.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Blairgus (1019) - California, USA - APR 16, 2011
16 April 2011, bottle. mahogany colour, slightly hazy with big foamy tan head. nose is warm raisins, alcohol, and bread dough yeast. full body and mildly fizzy. I think this is a great dubbel. alcohol is prominent but not aggressive. an interesting purple grape flavour comes out, along side a hot cross bun taste. really good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerViking (849) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2011
A gift, this 30cl bottle’s probably about 20 years old, it doesn’t even say Dubbel on it, just La Trappe on a gold label with lots of Dutch writing about "pouring without shaking". Despite its age it poured an only slightly cloudy red-brown with even a tiny little bit of a fine white head. Hints of maple syrup and maybe a little coffee on the nose, a soft, warming and chewy body, a little oxidised but still with notes of sultanas, a little red wine and spice, and a dryish finish.

330ml bottle. Pours a dark caramel with a medium head. Aroma is yeast, clove and raisin. Taste starts with clove, raisin and alcohol in the finish. Full in the mouth to start but short in the finish.
