Bottle 33cl. Pours a murky ruby colour with a small head and almost no carbonation. Smells fruity and sweet with also some hops and malts. Taste is very warm and can taste raisins and some fruits in there vaguely. Goes down very nice and warm with a good aftertaste and a warm feeling in the throat.

(750ml bottle shared with the Mrs.). Pours cloudy mahogany with khaki head. Aroma of caramel, candied sugar, alcohol and dark fruits. Taste is sweet, but not overpowering. Thin bodied with a silck mouthfeel. Smooth finish. I think this bottle is at least 1 year old. There is an off-taste, but I think it’s bottle specific.

Bottle 0.5L. Dark amber body, with an average, creamy, light-brown head, mostly lasting with a good lacing; average density of medium-sized bubbles. Heavy malty aroma with complex notes of caramel, prunes, raisins and spices. Intense sweet flavour with a light bitter note that comes up after a while. Medium body with an oily texture; lively carbonation; alcoholic warming in the finish. Quite a satisfactory and complex beer.

On tap. Dark brown with little head. Slight aroma but taste is much nicer. A little blackberry or blueberry or something in there. Got better as it got warmer.

Deep brick red. Dark fruits, sweet molasses, and a touch of yeast in the aroma. Flavor is along the same lines but with noticeable chocolate and a decent acidity in the finish. Medium bodied. Real nice. Went great with New Years day pork and sauerkraut.
