Bottle, 33cl. Pours a clear and dark copper beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness, fruit, yeast and dried fruit. The flavor is close to the nose. The palate is sweetness and some alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer.

On tap at bierbistro. Light brown with thin lace head. Too cold at first, but the flavour came out as it warmed. Sweet caramel malt and warm mouth feel. Fig and nut flavours. Pleasant.

330ml bottle @ Henriks. Dark deep brown body with a white long lasting creamy head. Nose is earthy, yeast and caramel also cold and silky. Lively carbonation. Quite sweet with a nice round and mild smooth ending

Spab (1118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2010
On tap at beerbistro (as Koningshoeven Dubbel Trappist Ale). Pours a cloudy amberish brown with large creamy tan head. Aroma is on the mild side - mostly ripe dark fruit. Flavour is tart berries, dark fruit and hazelnut. Fruit lingers in the finish. Body is a little thinner than ideal. But all in all pretty decent.

11/3/10. Dark brown pour with light red edges with a big fluffy khaki head that fizzes away fast. The aroma is dusty, funky Belgian yeast with lots of roasted brown sugar, banana, cloves, and a hint of alcohol. Sweet brown sugar and roasted malts, dusty Belgian yeast, bananas, and a hint of sour and alcohol. Pretty good!
