Dark amber red. Sweet aromas of caramel malt & floral hops. Slight bitterness quickly gives way to sweet toffee, banana, dried fruit figs & rasins. Smooth mouth & sweet lingering finish. Too sugary, one only for me.

ClubGonzo (1732) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 24, 2010
Pours a deep ruby body covered with a dense, yet quickly disappearing off-white head. Looks very inviting. Smell is yeasty, filled with dark malts, figs and cherries. Taste is delicious: molasses, figs and raisins combined with strong cherries and fruitiness. Such a difference from the La Trappe Blond. La Trappe Dubbel is definitely in the game.
