On tap at Beneluxx in Philly, poured a dark red amber with a think white head that was gone in the blink of an eye. Aroma consists of malts, caramel, toffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet with the toffee and caramel coming through with a hint of alcohol. Light bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Very little carbonation. A nice Dubbel.

Dark brown with a slight red tinge and has a large slightly off white head. It is dominated by the smell of dark fruits, hops, and light barley malts with a subtle alcohol undertone. Unfortunately the taste does not stand up to the scent and is not nearly as complex. Good, not great.

Dark brown body and tan head. Fruity aroma of apple, figs, grapes and prunes with some spicy and caramel. Fruity flavor, sweet little sour. A good beer to drink, a good example of an abbey dubbel beer.

750 ml bottle, chilled. Big head, light brown with minimal frothing and lacing, translucent and deep brown colour. Fruity alcoholic nose, with floral undertones and no hint of hops and slight hint of malt. Sweet slight taste of ripe banana and an apple undercurrent and no hint of sourness or bitterness. Full bodied with creamy texture, short finish, little carbonation and no hint of astringency. Overall very pleasant and fruity.

One of the least "trappist" beers. The flavour is not bad, but it’s not strong enough.

Bottle. 24.5 oz. Split with Vinny. Pours deep plum-brown with a creamy, frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapes, figs, plum, barley, roasted malts, and scotch. Dry, crisp mouthfeel with a moderate, yet satisfying body. Tastes incredibly smooth after opening up for awhile. Finishes powerfully. Excellent dubbel.

Bottle. Dark pour with thin white head. Very winey grape aromas, dry, fruity and sweet. Taste is quite fruity, lots of plums and grapes, some alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel with a decent alcohol presence.
