"Discover this genuine dark Trappist beer with a gentle flavour, creamy head and pronounced bouquet.
La Trappe Dubbel has a deep brown colour and attractive beige froth. The use of caramel malt gives it a gentle aromatic caramelised quality. It has a rich malty flavour with a touch of sweetness. Post-fermenting La Trappe Dubbel is a smooth drink, and yet has some real body and intense flavour to it.

Piwo miedziane, nieprzejrzyste. Piana niska, szybko znika. Estry, bananowość, wiśnie i aceton. W smaku owocowa słodowość. Pełne, wysokowysycone.

Super dejlig øl, der er god til pizza, kylling og lette retter. Bør nydes kold. Ikke speciel kraftig, og derfor drikkes af de fleste. God smag.

Dark brown coffeish appearance with a handsome, creamy head. Very dry notes of roasted malt and - again - coffee. Pronounced bitterness and a touch of acid.

Schiuma eterna, odore e gusto molto pieni e amara al punto giusto, nulla da invidiare alle colleghe belghe

Mahogany brown with off-white head that disappeared within a minute on this pour. Strong pear drops aroma, some spice, some crystalline sweetness. Taste adds a malt liquorice component, and emphasizes phenols. Light carbonation.

Bottle 330 ml. Strong belgian ale, but quite light in taste at the same time. Fruits in taste and aroma, not much bitterness, sweet and creamy.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a deep burgundy/mahogany color, with a frothy layer of off white head foam, and dots & dashes of cling lacing. The nose was dark/dried fruit, a touch of caramel sweetness, light phenols, with a hint of vanilla. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was similar notes as the aroma, more of a lightly ripened character to the esters, malty, with a pleasant creaminess to the mouthfeel, and noticeable, but fairly hidden alcohol. One of a number of quality benchmarks for the style.
