"Discover this genuine dark Trappist beer with a gentle flavour, creamy head and pronounced bouquet.
La Trappe Dubbel has a deep brown colour and attractive beige froth. The use of caramel malt gives it a gentle aromatic caramelised quality. It has a rich malty flavour with a touch of sweetness. Post-fermenting La Trappe Dubbel is a smooth drink, and yet has some real body and intense flavour to it.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 Pours clear ruby with huge dark tan head. Strong aroma of caramel, spice, zest, toffee, dark sugar, raisins, cooked dark bread and sherry cask matured scotch (oak, dried fruit, etc.). Tastes rather sweet but with some sourness to balance. High carbonation, medium body, no excess alcoholic warmth. Wonderful velvetty smooth sniffer (cant get enough of that aroma), but too sweet.

Mój ulubiony Dubbel. Najlepiej smakuje w ogrodach holenderskiego klasztoru. Piwo delikatnie pieści podniebienie. My favorite Dubbel. It tastes best in the gardens of the Dutch monastery. Beer gently caresses the palate.

75 Dark brown with a small head of foam that lasts. Caramel malt, dark fruit, bit of cardboard smell. Tastes of pitted fruit, yeast, caramel malt and cardboard. Love the dark fruitiness of raisins and plums. Not a fan of cardboard/oxidation. That being said, I reckon this Dubbel is a good one.
