"Discover this genuine dark Trappist beer with a gentle flavour, creamy head and pronounced bouquet.
La Trappe Dubbel has a deep brown colour and attractive beige froth. The use of caramel malt gives it a gentle aromatic caramelised quality. It has a rich malty flavour with a touch of sweetness. Post-fermenting La Trappe Dubbel is a smooth drink, and yet has some real body and intense flavour to it.

Serving: from bottle. Aroma: light, banana aroma. Appearance: small, rocky, light-brown, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, dark-red/light brown body. Taste: moderately sweet, cherry and caramel-like, initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good. Interesting flavor.

Instable head, rich aroma; Fresh, sweet aroma of soft fruit, like banana’s and lychees. Lovely little bit of bitterness in the back of your mouth, with again those banana’s and lychees comig in front.

APPEARANCE: dark amber color and a bit hazy. average and moussy tanned head with average retention. TASTE: sweet and caramely flavour profile. some spicy notes. medium-low bitterness that lingers into a medium-dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. Mooi donker bier met een mooie schuimlaag erop. Bier ruikt zeer fruitig. Mooie smaak ook van fruit.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color. Aromas are plums and pear syrup (poiret/peren stroop), hint of chocolate. Very nice fruitiness that suits the winter time. Slight booziness. Taste is relatively flat compared to the aroma. Mostly caramel notes mixed with raw cocoa. Very light creaminess. Burnt sugar and rye in the aftertaste.
