Bottle at Le Bistro des Bieres Belge. The color is dark reddish with a dark beige head. The aroma and flavor are of sweet fruits and caramel added. It has a nice sour finish to it that makes it very pleasant.

Sep 29, 2008 bottle.my second la trappe beer. im starting to like these abbey dubbels. pours dark ruby red with beige head wich quickly turns into a small foam. aroma is very strong and impressive. taste is complex with sweet and bitter notes. still got some bottles left.

Sep 21, 2008 Smelt sweet. Colour of coke with a large of white head. Sweet and syrupy but not much flavour it was smooth and thick.

Sep 14, 2008 From the corked stone bottle. Nicely packaged beer that doesn’t disappoint. Pours a murky brown with a light tan head. Smells wonderfull....spice, hops, cedar. Tastes slightly sweet, really is nicely balanced with bitterness. Excellent.
