Bottle at home. One of the best beers I’ve enjoyed recently. Very good oatmeal flavour, light taste, not too overwhelming.

Che dire una dubble coi fiocchi!! Ambrata intensa con poca schiuma, ma molta frizzantezza, dolce al naso e al parlato, leggermente citrica e di un corpo. Nel mio caso servita un po? troppo fredda. ECCEZIONALE!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 FaithHealer1 (226) - SCOTLAND - MAY 26, 2012
Keg at the House of Trembling Madness, York. Pours a slightly murky dark brown, finger of head that fades. Aroma is classic dubbel, dark fruits and malts dominating. Taste is similar, with dark fruits, Belgian esters, sweet with just the tiniest hint of the character of something four (but without the sourness - I’m perfectly aware that makes no sense). Medium-full body, long finish. Mmm, this is good.
3.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Nightsky (57) - Wesley chapel, Florida, USA - MAY 23, 2012
The aroma has hints of nitrogen. Head is very thick when poured but goes flat after a few minutes. Hazy and dark brown. Wonderful burst of orange rind flavor, maybe slight hint of banana, the nitrogen almost compliments it. Close to abrupt finish. Delishious beer, would like to enjoy this one on a Friday evening.

Tap at Cheeky Monk. Poured a clear brown, with a red tint and frothy off-white head. Smell is yeast, sweet bread, light spice, biscuit, with some roastiness and light coffee. Taste is much the same, with hints of biscuit, coffee, and some light roastiness. Also, picking up some banana bread and spice, as well. Medium body with soft carbonation. A lot going on in this beer, yet highly drinakable. Good beer.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rulymel (24) - SPAIN - MAY 18, 2012
Dark brown with red colour. Aroma little bit fruit with very strong malt. Flavour is little bit sweet but not so much. Good body. Balanced alcohol, malt, sweet and good long finish.
I prefer another Trappists beers, but it is a good choice
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bluebetty (881) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with reddish tinges down the side of the glass. Large light brown coloured head. Flavours are dominated by dark malt sweetness with a touch of roasted grain. Flavours are likewise dominated by malt. Only the slightest hint of acidity on the finish. Slightly watery mouthfell.
3.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 RoodMormel (43) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 10, 2012
nice ruby colored dark beer, aroma has hints of dark chocolate. Has a chocolate taste as well, not a really heavy taste as well which i did expect from the smell and color. Looks can be deceiving!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2012
Brown 33cl bottle: Best before May 2009, drank in March 2007. Poured into my Straffe Hendrik chalice glass, it looks very good.
Dark ruby red, very slight haze from a bit of sediment that got up from the bottom of the bottle. Light brown head which started out full and half an inche thick, but fell away fairly fast to a thin covering.
Yeast and sweet toffe aroma, with caramel and toasted malts.
I love Trappist Dubbels, this isn’t as strong in flavour compared to most, but is still good, rich and fairly sweet, yet smooth and refreashing too.
The most watery of the trappist Dubbels by far, but still a lot better than most Abbey beer copies.
Westmalle Dubbel knocks spots off this beer in my eyes, but it is still a very drinkable beer. This was a fairly young beer, I have one more left, I intend to age it and see what it is like in a couple of years time.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 HopTsing (159) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - MAY 1, 2012
From the bottle poured a coppery/brown brew with a light brown head.Aroma is mostly malt with floral hints. Flavor is mostly malt with nearly no hop presence. Full bodied and silky mouth feel.
