Pours a deep brown with amber hightlights and a thick beige head. Aroma is of bananas flambe. Also has a light smokiness. The taste is fruity with banana again but also raisins and figs. Some chocolate as well.

Robust and luxurious head. Round presence and full mouthfeel. Carbonation is soft and pleasant. Not like a Unibroue fizziness. Very little heat. Not overtly malty and of course minimal to non-existent hoppiness. Less spicy and more thick than a Chimay Blue. That Belgian yeastiness is present throughout. Very enjoyable.

Bottle-Memphis. Poured a dark red with little head - the lack of carbonation was surprising - plummy nose and rummy finish. enjoyable

pours a dark brown with lasting head. alcohol is the first thing you smell when you put your nose in it. there is also some molasses and yeast with some fermented fruit as well. taste is of fermented fruit and yeast. not much alcohol taste which is nice since it is so strong in the scent. overall, a very nice beer.
